Valerie Wehiong-Batta joined MSE in June 2024 as the Outreach and Recruitment Coordinator in the COMPASS program and the Collaboration and Exchange with Researchers in Africa (CERA). Working for NC State since 2015, she has a varied educational and professional background in local and international environments. Using knowledge gained from studying, living, and working in various countries, Valerie maintains a global perspective, deep understanding, and appreciation for different cultures and ways of life. Fluent in French and German, Valerie masters other unexplored languages. She is a licensed and certified mediator, a vivid traveler, and a proud mother to four amazing young people.
Juliette Wakefield is our new Graduate Services Coordinator. With a robust background in student services and a passion for academic excellence, Juliette brings a wealth of experience that promises to elevate our MSE community. Juliette will oversee a wide array of MSE graduate student services, serving as a central point of contact for student inquiries and providing crucial administrative support for assessment activities and graduation ceremonies. Her adeptness with systems such as SIS and the Graduate School Information System database ensures streamlined operations and efficient management of critical student data and program logistics.
