With expertise in magnetic, plasmonic and multifunctional nanoparticles, as well as nanowire assembly and self-organization, the group advances fundamental understanding of nanoscale structure\u2013property relationships. He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and conducted postdoctoral research in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania before joining NC State in 2007. His research focuses on the synthesis, processing, and applications of nanomaterials, with expertise in magnetic and plasmonic nanoparticles, nanowires, and self-assembled nanostructures.
