He received his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the Ohio State University. Before joining NC State in Fall 2024, he spent over a decade as a Senior R&amp;D Staff Scientist and Group Leader of the Materials Micro\u00c5nalysis Group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory\u2019s Center for Nanophase Materials Sciences. His research focuses on advancing aberration-corrected, analytical, <em>cryogenic and in situ\/operando methods <\/em>scanning transmission electron microscopy to probe atomic-scale structures,
