The Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) at North Carolina State University seeks to hire outstanding tenured/tenure-track faculty in all areas of Materials Science and Engineering, although candidates working in areas related to (1) soft, polymeric and sustainable materials, and (2) advanced electron microscopy, with the application of Machine Learning to both, are preferred. Successful candidates will have achieved or be on a trajectory for international prominence, and senior candidates will have demonstrated vision and skills in leading collaborative, multidisciplinary research efforts. Candidates should have a demonstrated commitment to fostering creative teaching and instructional methods to enhance our undergraduate and graduate curricula.
Minimum Education and Experience
A Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering or a related field is required (must have by date of hire), as well as demonstrated ability in teaching and research.
