Applications are now open for the 2024 NSF-supported International Research Experiences for Students (IRES) Track 1 Program, Soft Matter Research Experience for North Carolina Graduate Students in Dresden. Sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF), the 10-week paid summer research internship provides students with:
- Participation in a unique, multidisciplinary research approach from May 22, 2024 – July 31, 2024
- A weekly $600 stipend + housing at the TUD International Guesthouse
2024 Projects
The list of potential 2024 IRES soft matter research projects* are proposed by hosts at the Dresden University of Technology (Technische Universität Dresden = TUD) and associated research institutes, referred to as TUD+.
*Note: The Projects page is password-protected. If you are a student at Duke, NC State, or UNC, you can request the password by submitting the request form below.
The deadline for applications is November 17, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern. Selection for the cohort announced by mid-December, 2023.
