The NC State University College of Engineering will enroll 4,000 more students, bringing the student population of the College to 14,000 over the next five years. The funding for this effort comes from “Engineering North Carolina’s Future,” a state legislative initiative providing NC State with $20M over the next two years to hire faculty and staff and $30M for facility upgrades. Our department has already benefited from this effort with the addition of four new faculty members: Professors Martin Thuo, Bharat Gwalani, Yin Liu, and Ruijuan Xu.
