Welcome to Kinga Unocic Research Lab

Extreme-Environment Materials, Radiation Effects and Alloy Development and Catalysis

Located in Engineering Building I on Centennial Campus at NC State University, our group specializes in high-temperature laboratory testing, materials processing, and advanced in situ materials characterization using electron microscopy. We develop new methods to relate composition and structure to function in nanoscale materials and correlate these findings with lab-scale material performance.

“Materials are defined by how they endure extremes—science is our tool to
unlock their secrets and enhance their resilience.”
